My Travel notes

Jan 13, 2014

Every time I have gone on a trip, however small it might have been, I have always wanted to pen down my experiences and turn the spectacles to words. It has remained a thought or unfulfilled want though, never turning realistic.  Many trips have missed getting inked down.  And hence this note -

Deserts have never amazed me. Dryness has always reminded me of sadness and dull memories, partly maybe because I come from a lush green part of the world which is caressed by the sea and where rains are often celebrated as a festival. So an unavoidable trip to the Pink city Jaipur, which is the capital of the Desert state of India hadn’t generated much interest in me. But the traveler inside me couldn’t bear the thought of three full days being spent in Jaipur. That is how I decided to tag Jodhpur and Ajmer in the trip, the only intention being to avoid the monotonousness of Jaipur. Another curious friend of mine, Vipin,  also agreed to join me at the Pink city. He had also cleverly booked train tickets for a night train from Jaipur to Jodhpur, departing at 02:30 in the night, which was expected to add on to the misery.

And thus started the trip..

..to be continued
